HCBA (Harvest Church Broken Arrow)

Like a “cornucopia machine with plenty” so is Harvest Church Broken Arrow. The cornucopia, the spiritual buffet to chew on, is “Simply Irresistible.” For me, it started with church on Sunday, not for an hour, but when the service ends, nobody actually knows the exact time, the spirit moves swiftly and softly, surrounding and saturating your soul, it does mine each and every time. There is more than meets the eye. At the time, Father Heart Schools I & II were offered during the winter months. I quickly took a hold like as a person holds tight to the handles of a swing, how high can I go here? The answer is in the “pressing in.” What does digging in look like? Check HCBA for more information.

CTF, Toronto (Catch the Fire Toronto)

The minute I walked in the building at Harvest Church Broken Arrow more than a decade ago, I knew it was the church where I would be spiritually fed. Then, one September, years later, I didn’t know if I could honestly take the journey; cost, away from my family, application processing, would I be approved to go to ministry school in Toronto, Canada? It was never a goal, or on my mind to go attend ministry school. This is the impact on my life through the Holy Spirit. I started Leaders School of Ministry at Catch the Fire in the summer of 2019. Wow! What an impact. “This woman is on fire!”

Toastmasters (Toastmasters International)

The spring of 2008 while in Fort Worth, Texas, I was interning for a major airline in the Communications Department. While there, one of the lead writers asked me, “what do you want to do?” I said “talk to people on stage and write.” The desire was burning a hole in my drawers, Lol. As he sat there for less than a minute, I could tell he had an “aha moment.” He shared “Toastmasters” with me; I had no idea what he was talking about. He mentioned meetings were happening in the building at a certain time. I missed the particular meeting because I was so scared! I did find my way to Will Rogers 645 club in the Tulsa area shortly afterward. What a life-changer! Although I have a high school diploma, formal education and hands- on training and experience in broadcasting and writing, I needed more. What was the missing link? The opportunities, more prevalent with this group than ever before. From time management and organization, impromptu speaking, organized speeches addressing audiences from 6 to 25, maybe hundreds, the choice, mine! Read all about it, toastmastersinternational.org
